Attorney Bar Admissions

Ryan R. Wood — Minnesota.

Wynne P. Kelly — New Jersey, New York, Florida, U.S. Supreme Court.

Elizabeth L. Young — Virginia, California, Arkansas.

Aliza Lopes Baker — New York.

The attorneys of Emeriti Law PLLC are admitted to the bars listed above. Federal immigration practice is governed by 8 C.F.R. § 1292.1, which permits attorneys admitted to the bar of any state, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory to represent clients in immigration matters before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and other federal immigration authorities — regardless of where the client resides or where the matter is adjudicated. The firm represents clients in immigration matters nationwide on this basis.

For non-immigration matters that require state-specific licensure (for example, state criminal proceedings, state family-law matters, or state-law issues that intersect with an immigration matter), the firm practices only in jurisdictions where the relevant attorney is admitted, and associates with local counsel as required.

Jurisdictional Disclosures

This Site provides general information about the firm's nationwide federal immigration practice, conducted consistent with 8 C.F.R. § 1292.1. For non-immigration matters that require state-specific licensure, nothing on this Site is intended as a solicitation of legal services in any jurisdiction in which the relevant attorney is not admitted to practice. To the extent any state requires identification of a particular attorney as responsible for advertising content, that attorney is Ryan R. Wood, Principal Founding Partner.

Your case deserves to be heard.

Emeriti Law was built on the premise that every client — whether a hospital system managing enforcement risk or an individual who never had the chance to present their case — deserves counsel that understands the system well enough to make sure their position is heard.

Our attorneys spent decades deciding cases from the bench. They know what it takes to build a record that holds up, frame an argument that reaches the decision-maker, and present a case with the precision the forum requires. That is the standard we bring to every matter.
